ELGIN'S Jason Bowman has
skated his way to national and international success.
The
figure skater claimed a second place in the recent Scottish Championships at
Dumfries. And the 20-year-old followed that up with third in the International
Judging System event in Austria.
The Moray Leisure Centre ice
rink employee is targeting a full-time career in ice skating. In the meantime,
he is involved in skating tuition through his job at the Elgin leisure centre.
The former Elgin Academy pupil has stepped up to
senior level this season and is aiming to secure a place at the British
Championships next year. He was in Edinburgh this week at a training camp which
included Scottish ice dancing pair Sinead and John Kerr.
