The Hornbys monopolised the day winning all three categories, and with Christopher completing his first yellow course.

The weather could not have been nicer, and the opportunity to use the far east end of Culbin gave the most enjoyable underfoot conditions and great orienteering.

It was nice to see some very new people at the event, with Steve learning how to read the map before the start.

Somehow control 51 proved to be the real tester with only Mike R (as far as I know) finding it easily. Yet it was surrounded by several clear depressions and was right by the highest hill in the area so I think there is some contour interpretation learning potential here.
